Greek PM calls for for extension of support of EU economies against pandemic

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis during his speech at a videoconference of the European Union leaders highlighted the need to achieve the bes possible coordination between country members in the second wave of the pandemic, int.ert.gr reports. Greek PM underlined that measures in support of European economies should be extended to cover the first quarter of 2021. He also informed that Greece is one of the first countries to submit the draft for the use of community funds of the Recovery Fund while expressing his concerns about difficulties that have arisen for the final approval of the plan agreed in the summer. Two private clinics with their staff in Northern Greece have been taken over by Greek authorities to treat COVID-19 cases as the region’s public hospitals are under severe pressure over the past few weeks.
