Greek Minister of Finance announced a return to international markets

Greek Minister of Finance, Christos Staikouras announced on Wednesday that Greece will return to the international markets within the next two months, adding that “it is very important to have regular communication with the markets”, int.ert.gr reports. Mr. Staikouras stressed that the funds from the bond issues were part of the amount spent on support measures, and said that in May there was a large discrepancy in the budget revenues, but “no negative surprises”. Concerning a possible loan from the ESM, he said that “it is another arrow in the quiver so that if there is a need, it can be evaluated at the appropriate time”.
