The inaugural ceremony of the European Labour Authority (ELA) and the first meeting of its Management Board takes place in Brussels on 16 and 17 October 2019.ELA, which is to be host in Bratislava, contributes to ensuring that EU rules on labour mobility and social security coordination are enforced in a fair, simple and effective way. The Executive Director Dr Christa Sedlatschek represents EU-OSHA as a co-operator for ELA, and actively participates in its Management Board in order to improve collaboration and search for synergies between both agencies, above all in the frame of the EU Pillar of Social Rights, amongst other mutual areas of interest.
