US Embassy commercial officer stresses USA’s keen financial interest in Greece

The Senior Commercial Officer of the US Embassy to Greece, Keith Silver, reaffirmed the profound US commercial and financial interest in Greece, on the sidelines of a visit by diplomats and trade attaches to western Macedonia, a mission organised by Enterprise Greece and the Western Macedonia Region. Speaking to Athens-Macedonian News Agency (ANA), Silver noted that the US is seeking elements from western Macedonia that will further enhance trade and economic relations between the two countries and conveyed the satisfaction of US Secretary of Commerce Wilbur Ross over his last meeting with Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras in New York, as well as his visit to the Thessaloniki International Fair (TIF) in September. He added that in scheduled meetings with the representatives of Greek enterprises, he wants to monitor the common ground and the interests between the two sides and to 'present our innovative ideas and products that could help SMEs on the other side and see which of those enterprises could expand to the US market".
