Quiet Ride CF2 Carbon Fiber Helmet with Bluetooth – XL (Escondido) $300

QR Code Link to This Post That's right, $300 for a carbon fiber helmet that will also save your hearing, AND a bluetooth intercom! Did an unboxing and a review in February, rode with it for about 1000 miles to put it through its paces, and it's been hanging on my shelf since late March when I moved on to my next review helmet. Works great, but you need a bike with an aggressive riding position to really take advantage of its benefits. This helmet is quieter than any Arai, Shoei, or Schuberth. It has earcups inside that seal out outside noise and seal in your music, it has a pump on the outside like your Nikes that you can pump to adjust the seal for a perfect fit. Government tested to reduce road noise by 65%. Also has a quick-release buckle, so it's easy to put on and take off with gloves. For a real treat, wear this helmet AND ear plugs, and riding will be quieter than driving.Includes a bespoke R4 Bluetooth intercom, handlebar-mounted bluetooth controller, smoke tinted face shield, HD 40mm Earmuff upgrade (which I never really used because my glasses pushed my earlobes against the speakers,) and a custom molded GoPro mount on the chin (which can be removed with a hair dryer and some fishing line if you don't want it.) Between all the upgrades and shipping from the company headquarters in Minnesota, I spent $550 on this helmet in January, and had to wait until February to receive it. I just noticed that the price dropped on the Quiet Ride website, but most sizes are backordered, if you ordered one today, with all the upgrades I got, it would cost you $438, and who knows how long it would take before it would arrive. Anyways, $300 and you get a great helmet today, with all the upgrades.
