More than 100,000 professionals from the hospitality and foodservice industry have already visited the 13th HORECA 2018 during the three days of operation.The ultimate trade show for the hotel and the wider food sector has managed to break its own visitor records. Specifically, even more businessmen passed through the trade show’s doors compared to last year.63% of visitors from provinces HORECA 2018 visitor growth was not only quantitative but also qualitative, since, according to the organizers, so far 63 percent has come from the Greek provinces. In addition, it is worth noting that the hotel industry represented 29 percent of total visitors. There is common agreement among the majority of exhibitors that the first three days of HORECA 2018, the visitors were professionals interested in pursuing trade agreements. Grand openingMs Elena Kountoura, Minister of Tourism, presided at the HORECA 2018 ribbon-cutting ceremony and stated that “trade shows such as HORECA create added value for the Greek tourism product”. The  Minister of Tourism wished the 13th iteration of the international trade show every success, while she explicitly referred to the contribution made by tourism to consolidating the economic reconstruction of the country (Greece). The grand opening of the exhibition was attended by all tourism institutions as well as representatives from the political and business elite. Mr Nikos Choudalakis, President & CEO of Forum SA, the HORECA organizing company, declared that “the exponential development, the good reputation and visibility of the HORECA brand are no accident. They were motivated by our passion for the delivery of high level goals and our vision for constant progress and development.
