Peeking Around the Corner at NSC

Peeking Around the Corner at NSC Here’s a round of the latest and greatest, debuted at NSC 2019. By Sydny ShepardSep 17, 2019 The best thing about trade shows is that exhibitors are prepared to show their latest and greatest products to attendees. Sometimes these products are the culmination of a few tweaks to an old product, but other times these new products are entirely new to the industry – never before seen and a peek around the corner to the future of the industry. I got to see some really innovative things while I was at the National Safety Congress & Expo last week in San Diego, but the most exciting offerings were those that were brand new to not only me, but the attendees of the show. Here’s a round of the latest and greatest, debuted at NSC 2019. Westex by Milliken FR/AR Base Layer Fabric Westex by Milliken debuted their new DH Base Layer Fabric at the show this year. With a soft fiber blend, and moisture-wicking and breathability properties, the novel Westex DH base layer fabric brings FR/AR protection to workwear undershirts. The first Westex T-shirt-like FR/AR fabric offers end users a comfortable, want-to-wear experience, advancing the use of daily wear FR/AR PPE. The 4.5-ounce fabric has a 4.7 ATPV rating, is NFPA 2112 certified and provides NFPA 70E category 1 protection, making it a functional and durable option for arc flash and flash fire protection. Combined with FR/AR workwear apparel, FR/AR base layers made with Westex DH can help achieve a specific arc rating and provide an additional level of thermal hazard protection. Honeywell Impact-Resistant Gloves Honeywell rolled out at NSC a new line of award-winning, impact-resistant gloves — RigDog Xtreme — designed to protect workers from hand and finger injuries while working with hammers, tools and heavy machinery typical of the oil and gas industry. The gloves are available in a wide variety of sizes, unique colors and configurations. For more information, visit Honeywell online. Let's block ads! (Why?)
