Hard Rock International announced this week it is expanding the company’s European hotel portfolio with the development of Hard Rock Hotel Barcelona.The new hotel is set to open on the shores of Barcelona in early 2022 and will cost an estimated $223 million to complete. Construction of the 504-room hotel owned by ASG’s fifth real estate fund will begin in late 2019.MORE Hotel & Resort Hard Rock Hotels will operate the property. “This is set to be another ambitious project for Hard Rock International, alongside ASG,” Hard Rock International senior vice president Todd Hricko said. “Hard Rock Hotel Barcelona will bring the brand’s dynamic and vibrant hospitality to Barcelona’s Mediterranean Coast, injecting energy and world-class entertainment into the city’s hotel scene.”The plan is for Hard Rock Hotel Barcelona to offer a stunning rooftop terrace and bar with a swimming pool, two Specialty Restaurants, Lobby Bar with Grab and Go and Music Bar. Guest rooms will also have luxurious private balconies overlooking the Mediterranean Sea.Hard Rock Hotel Barcelona will feature a Body Rock Fitness Centre, Rock Spa, the Sound of Your Stay in-room music program, Rock Shop, Hard Rock Roxity Kids’ Club, seven meeting rooms and a ballroom.The hotel will be near Parc del Forum and Parc de la Pau, as well as the Forum beach and Marina in Sant Adria del Besos.
