QR Code Link to This Post This is a 1999 Yamaha Royal Star Venture with 29,976 miles on it!! This was the 1st production year of the Venture that ran through 2013 with very few changes. It was their flagship bike ($16,999) for touring, like the gold wing to Honda. I have owned both over the years and prefer the Venture over the Goldwing by far. Both great bikes, one looks like a motorcycle, one looks like half of a car. My opinion of course but look at them side by side and see what you think. This is a water cooled V4 that is so smooth and everyone who looks at it "Thinks its a Harley". Nobody ever mistakes a Goldwing for a Harley!! My wife and I rode this bike from West Seneca to Sturgis SD in August of last year. It rode amazingly well there and back without a glitch!! I had the bike serviced when we returned, fluids, tires, and so on. We put about 800 miles on it since. It has an intercom system with headsets which are nice on the highway, around town, not really needed. AM/FM radio, cassette with aux jack, cruise control, plenty of storage, side removable luggage bags, drivers backrest, new windscreen and is well documented!! The gentleman I acquired this from, bought it brand new and toured North America including Alaska starting in WNY!! Some how he kept this bike almost flawless!! I've tried to do the same. This might be the nicest Venture around here from 1999-2013. I do believe that this bike was the 15th bike produced of that long run!! All that said, why am I selling it? My wife enjoyed the trip to Sturgis so much and has decided she wants to travel more, but me on my bike and her on her own. I didn't like that thought (I like her legs) so I compromised. I got her a Can Am Spyder and I bought a Trike (always wanted to try one). I don't need to sell this bike, but if I don't, its going to sit all summer. I put a price on it of $6500 and given the bikes history and condition, I think thats low. This bike is serviced and ready to go. I rode it the few nice days we had last week. If your looking for the perfect touring bike, this is it. I would rather see it on the highway rather than being tucked away in my garage. When I was in Sturgis, I test drove the new Venture. Air cooled, V-Twin, they went backwards and they are $30,000 with tax. They should of never stopped in 2013. I will take $6500.00 in cash (or reasonable offer), or some above that in trade. I'm somewhat of a car and toy collector. Always opened open to a reasonable trade. Read the license plate. Call or text anytime. If you have a trade, send photos.
