Thunderhill Raceway (Willows, CA) rules regarding the taping or removal of lights and mirrors were behind my effort to simplify the removal of the turn signals, brake light and license plate. With just a few bolts everything except the headlight unplugs and separates from the bike *1. No, I haven't taken it out to Thunderhill. I'd love to but at 76 years old, I'm content to re-build/re-purpose old EVOs. My track days have passed.Tires, street Dunlops, have lots of life left, new brake pads- front and rear, fresh oil, filter, primary/transmission fluid service and the battery is nearly new.Added track specific parts include: Rear sets (gear shift and brake control) - Chainsickle 4-050 *2, Stainless Steel 2 into 1 exhaust - Highwayman HM-00034 *3 Biltwell banana seat *4 , RSD air cleaner *5Also included is a more comfortable(!) solo seat for off track use. Beyond track talk, it's a Harley-tough little bike and wonderfully fun on back roads. Lowest-mount rear sets allow even a 6 foot rider to tuck and still have plenty of leg and knee room. The XL1200S Sportster is the forerunner of the 04 + 'R' Roadster model.
