2012 Yamaha wr450f supermoto (Chipley, Fl) $6500

QR Code Link to This Post Up for sale is my 2012 wr450f dirt bike / dual sport / supermoto. I am the third owner of this bike. I purchased this bike in February 2018 from a guy in Mobile, Al. The original buyer of this Yamaha was able to register and tag this machine in Mississippi, he then sold it to Landon in Mobile, who then sold it to me with a fully street legal title. When I got the bike it had almost every bolt on upgrade available, the original stock Dunlop knobby tires, and had only 24 hours of ride time with very minimal case wear. The bike now has 132 hours on it and I have put ~3500 miles on it between a combination of supermoto and dirt riding (which works out to an average speed of about 30 miles/hour). The 2012 wr450f is essentially the Fuel Injected 5 valve YZ450f motor stuffed into a YZ250f motocross frame. The WR, being Yamaha's "trail" bike, comes stock with restricted power when compared to the YZ motocrosser. It is possible to unleash the power of this engine through a series of aftermarket upgrades which are listed in detail below. Aftermarket parts on this bike are top quality only and are listed as follows: FMF Genuine Yamaha Technology Racing (GYTR) header-back exhaust - $300 Loudmouth MX high flow air filter intake system - $190YZ Throttle Stop Screw (this allows the throttle to be twisted past the stock WR stopping point to maximize the gains from these upgrades) Yamaha GYTR Competition ECU - $125Yamaha GYTR Power Tuner - $275 Boyesen Supercooler Hi-Flo water pump - $165 TrailTech radiator hose temperature sensor with LCD display on barpad - $60 Tusk Lithium Ion battery - $100Barnett Carbon Fiber Clutch Plate and Spring kit - $145 Innteck SKF HD Fork Seals and Bushings kit - $100 + $240 to have this installed by Kawasaki of Dothan (Circle City Cycles) Cycra Bar-end handguards - $100 Michelin AC-10 street legal knobbies which have approximately 70% tread left - $170Warp9 supermoto 17" rims. Front is 3.5x17, rear is 5x17. This kit included a front brake caliper relocation bracket, 320mm front and standard rear brake disc, 43 tooth rear sprocket, supermoto front fender, and Michelin Pilot Power 2CT tires - $1150 from MotoXindustries.com TM Designworks swingarm chain slider (a 100% MUST HAVE for supermoto) - $75 Included with the bike but not yet installed is: Talon GYTR 49 tooth rear sprocket for dirt wheels - $60Rental 13 tooth front sprocket - $25 Pro Taper Pillowtop Grips - $15 I'm sure there is some things that I have forgotten to include, but as you can see this bike has every performance and maintenance prevention upgrade possible. I have taken excellent care of this bike. Oil changed frequently, only YamaLube 10w-40 oil has been used. I have done valve clearance inspections on this bike frequently as well, never have I had to shim them because they are still within the Yamaha service manual specifications. The air filter has been replaced as needed and cleaned on a regular basis. I replaced the stock spark plug with an Iriduim plug as well. This bike has been kept in a garage it's entire life. Of course, it has minimal scrapes on number plates and faring from general use as any other dirtbike in the world has. I have never laid this bike down or wrecked in any way. The ONLY downside to this motorcycle is that the electric starter currently does not work. It worked when I bought the bike, and over time it got intermittent, then eventually did not work. I have spent about $150 trying to fix this issue to no avail. I replaced the starter button, the starter solenoid/relay, and the 3 diode/relays that control the safety cutoffs (clutch, neutral, lean angle sensors). None of these fixed the issue. However, if I jump the starter solenoid then the e-start motor will turn over and start the bike no problem. This leads me to believe that there is a bad connection somewhere. The reason I did not go further into investigating this issue is because the bike starts right up with one or two kicks from the Kickstarter, which is fine with me. This bike is very rare to find with a street legal title. I have obviously dumped a lot of money into this bike in order to maximize its' power as well as to keep it meticulously maintained. $6500 is an extremely fair price. I have the title in my hand. I really don't even want to sell this bike but I am moving and cannot take it with me.
