Very small amount of smoke (oil burning) from right pipe only at start up. Gone before I get to the end of my street-about 400 feet because as engine gets hot it tightens up and it's gone. Doesn't come back until I start it cold again so it's clearly something that goes away as soon as heat expands things. Many times it doesn't smoke AT ALL on start up. Nor is there any residue on the plug at all ever-nothing. I had the head pulled with new valves and guides installed-didn't fix it. According to the mechanic (Steve Barlow/Barlow Vintage, Wolfboro NH) who did the work "just ride it". So I do, with no issues whatsoever. Frankly I don't know why it sometimes smokes from that pipe-I did what I thought I should do i.e. new valves and guides. I started it Spring 2017 2nd kick dead cold after being in storage all winter and even after burning the fogging oil out of the cylinders it still didn't smoke at all. As a rule it starts first kick cold-not always but most of the time. The bike runs like a champ. If it didn't I would fix whatever issue that would cause it but there are no issues. Not a matching numbers bike, replacement case VIN re-stamped to match frame by prior owner; Bike imported by Tricor in 1969.
