QR Code Link to This Post **disclaimer: bike currently won't start** For sale is a 2001 Kawasaki Ninja zx6r, which is one of the most comfortable sport bikes available without being a sport touring bike. It has an actual seat for both rider and passenger, with more that 1/4" of seat foam, much unlike most modern bikes. Key locked 2 helmet holder, and small under seat trunk. I've owned this bike for about 4 years, and everything has been trouble free until recently. I had a driveway tip over, and cracked the stator case. Bike was shut off immediately. Bought a new stator, flywheel, ignition, stator wiring, and battery. Bike started a few times, and I ran it for a few hundred miles. One day, wouldn't start. Starter only "clicks" without turning over (though the motor spins easily when attempting to bump start). I would take the time to fix and diagnose it myself, but I need to sell the bike to get married. Tires are Continental Conti pro, and are at 50%. Plastics are relatively new, with minor garage rash. HID headlights, integrated LED blinkers in rear taillight, and LED turn signal mirrors. I mostly commuted on the bike with occasional canyon carving. Very powerful for "Only" being a 600cc bike. 111 hp, 48ft/lbs torque, and 6 speed transmission, at a 379# dry weight, and a claimed top speed of 160mph. Bike is tame and completely manageable for traffic, unless you intentionally rev past 8k rpm, and then the real power starts. (I always shifted way before 12,500 RPM redline). Aftermarket D&D exhaust. Oil changes with full synthetic since I've owned it. The motor is so reliable, they placed it in their sport touring model until 2009 (if I remember correctly). Price obviously will go up if I fix it soon. Parts widely available for bike. Would make for a wonderful Christmas gift, or winter time project.
