1988 Honda TRX250R in great condition (Salinas) $3500

QR Code Link to This Post I bought this TRX250R brand new from the dealer on 1988. I am now 63 so I was 33 at the time. We went to Pismo for four or five weekends per year for the first 10 years. Then we went to Glamis one year and were ruined so that Pismo seemed like a sand box. For the next 10 years we went for a week to Glamis for either Thanksgiving week or Easter week. The past 10 years or so my son has grown up and I have only run it like once a year at Pismo. It has been inside a shed the whole time. My brother used to port and polish heads for a living, you can probably still find his website "Macdizzy" online where he gave step by step instructions on porting to the community. He had a really good race engine company going for many years until the IRS caught up to all his unreported income, then he closed it down.Every two or three years he would do top end refreshes for me. Over time I added larger carbs and 91 octane porting for a bit more power. Remember this was the bike that people were buying in 1996-1989 during the week and racing them on the weekends.I have replaced the plastic twice and only bought Honda plastic none of the cheap Maier shit. The front lights were installed for gleams but could be replaced with some much smaller LED's now and work the same. The front end is 2"+ wider than stock. The rear is stock. The shocks were replaced with Works Performance external reservoir ones several years ago for a smoother ride and plush landings. I have both stock tires (replaced with Otsu originals) and taller hauler paddle sand tires mounted on silver aluminum rims. I have used Amsoil in it since new as my brother in law is a dealer. The bike is in very good condition and reliable as the day is long. I will be sad to see it go but at 63, I have no business riding such a high performance quad. Probably will get a side by side.Call or text with any questions. No low ballers will be answered. Come and see it and if you need a LITTLE wiggle room on the price I might bite.Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki, Kawasaki, quad, quadracer, TRX, 250r, 1988, motorcycle, dirt bike
