QR Code Link to This Post I have for sale a 1992 GS500E. The bike has a clean title and has been owned by me for about 4 years. I bought this bike originally as a non-running project and ended up daily driving it for a couple of years. I ended up finding some rust in the gas tank and replaced it with one from a 2006 GS500. Since then I have not ridden it as I upgraded to a newer Suzuki. In the pictures the back fairings are off but I do have them, they will be installed this weekend. The bike is in no way perfect. It would be a great project for someone who knows what they are doing and would like to restore the bike to its former glory. Or for a new motorcycle mechanic looking to completely break down a bike. Parts are cheap and repairs are simple. The bike has been dropped at some point, but not by myself. The carbs will probably need to be cleaned as I have not ridden it daily for a year and a half or so. The battery is also dead but I can purchase a new one if I get my full asking price. Last started it this past summer and rode it around to make sure everything was still in working order. The front brake pads will need to be changed, and possibly the rotor. Front master cylinder is new. The chain will also likely need replacing as it has been just sitting, but it was new a few years back. Spark plugs are newer. Tyres are Michelin Pilots and have been only used for two seasons, they still have most of their life left as I have not been riding the bike. Exhaust is off of a 2006 GS500. Old one was shot. Minor scrapes on the side that were there when purchased. Odometer is inaccurate, as when I bought it the meter was not working. Probably around 20k or so. A new one was installed last year. Bike comes with new ignition switch (not installed) so that they key matches the tank key. Right now it is two separate keys. Also comes with all oil needed and a K&N oil filter so that you can do your first oil change (Never trust that it was done when you buy a bike, obviously).
