QR Code Link to This Post So you want the most luxurious touring bike on the road? Don't have a lot of spare cash? Don't want a lumbering pig? Keep reading, friend. Think of this bike as a Honda Civic, only with all the bells and whistles, will run with a Corvette, rides like a Lexus, enough storage to go grocery shopping. Would you wonder how many more miles your Civic has left at 102K on the clock? Are you kidding--it's a Honda, right? If you look around, you will see many examples of Goldwings that have miles in the upper 100K to 200K range, with no service issues. Yes, this bike has a lot of highway miles, but all that does is make it more affordable--there is no reason to fear the mileage on this bike. Always stored inside. All the service has always been taken care of. Regular, on-time oil changes with synthetic oil. All fluids and filters were changed recently. Plugs, battery, tires are all up to date and ready to roll. Service records come with bike--I am meticulous about keeping up my vehicles. If I were wiser, I'd keep this bike, but alas I am foolish and I have more money than sense, so I am looking for a new Goldwing. I really wish I could sell this to a friend, but my friends are knobs. Their loss. I took this bike on a 3000 mile round trip last fall. Number of issues with the bike? Zero. I had planned to take this bike on a similar journey this year, and expectations are for the same. This thing is solid, golden, and easy to take care of. I get between 40 mpg to nearly 50 mpg, it burns ethanol gas without any complaint, and in my nearly four years of ownership, have had zero mechanical issues outside of normal maintenance. It is 100 percent super clean, polished, waxed, and needs nothing but a new rider. Although it is not cosmetically perfect, it is the shiniest damn bike you ever saw. I know everyone always says this, but when you see it, you will not believe it is an '01, nor think it is anything but a low miles garage queen. Squeaky, squeaky clean. And until the advent of the new model Goldwing this spring, Honda really never changed this bike much. This bike is about 90% the same as a 2017, no exaggeration! It's hard to tell this apart from a 2017, unless you know what to look for. Only this bike has done most all of it's depreciating. Seriously, look at how much people are asking for Goldwings that are much older!Luxury? I have four words for you: dual zone heated seats. And even more words! Heated hand grips with four temperature settings. Hidden garage door opener switch. Electronic cruise control. Adjustable on the fly rear suspension. Reverse. Polk Audio speakers at all four corners, Kenwood amp, Bluetooth compatible stereo. Adjustable on the fly headlight. USB power. Glove compartments and rear storage cubbies. Key fob that locks/unlocks the two saddlebags and trunk. Adjustable height smoked windshield. Highway pegs to put your feet up. Sofa-like passenger backrest and floorboards mean that sleeping back there is quite likely. Air wings to direct air either away from, or toward you and your passenger. The tires are Dunlop Elite 4's with plenty of tread left, replaced last year. This tire was specifically designed for the Honda Goldwing. The front suspension has been upgraded with Progressive fork springs and All Balls fork seals to improve handling. Instead of a parade vehicle festooned with lights and chrome, I have chosen to do the blackout treatment to some of the emblems and trim. There is a Honda OEM trunk spoiler with brake lights and a luggage rack. Includes a battery tender lead to make winter battery maintenance easy. Nothing is broken, never in an accident, everything works as it is supposed to, and you will need to do no service or fixing or cleaning or waxing or anything. Just get on!Just to be clear: I will do my part to represent the bike honestly and straightforwardly. Please be cool about doing your part, which is to be a serious buyer: if you need to sell something else first, haven't gotten the OK from your significant other yet, or the like, you are not a serious buyer. If you want to help me sell it or want me to send money to you first to somewhere in the Phillipines, I'm not interested in talking to you. Please have the decency to wait to talk about price until you have seen the motorcycle. I am a good guy, please reciprocate! Thanks for reading all this rambling mess, if you got this far, I hope you endeavor to come see the bike-- I am quite sure that you will not be disappointed!
