1983 Suzuki GS450GA (Ashville) $1200

QR Code Link to This Post I have a 1983 Suzuki GS450GA which is the Automatic version of the GS450 model. I got this bike from a neighbor of mine and he had it sitting in his garage since 2015 and he acquired it among a dozen other bikes from an older gentleman up North by Lake Erie. When I got the bike it was in fair/poor condition. Certain parts were missing mostly cosmetics but the bike was solid with minimal rust.I went through the bike and updated parts as well as altered it for a Cafe/Brat style as you can tell from the pictures. Parts replaced: Front Brakes-Cleaned the Master cylender, added new fluid. Cleaned Brake piston and replaced rubber inside as well. Cleaned Rear drum brake and sprayed with Brake cleaner to remove dust. Rebuilt Carburetors and replaced gaskets and any cracked brittle rubber fittings inside the carb. Bought new Needle Jets and seats. Placed carbs and jets in an ultrasonic cleaner and cleaned all the crud left behind. Cleaned out the gas tank really well, gas had been sitting in tank so long the color and smell turned back, flushed out all impurity's and filled with fresh clean gasoline and added a new in line fuel filter for further protection. Replaced tires with brand new Shinko Brand tires that are performing very well. No issues experienced with them. This bike has a Drive shaft- No chain, so I lubed all arms and filled the drum with new fresh Hypoid gear oil. New turn signals and cleaned up wiring in certain places (turn signals) that had bad connections. Used very light gauge steel wool on all the chrome and the spoked wheels to remove any surface rust/dust as the bike was sitting for a few year. Cleaned up very well. Ultimately- This bike was definitely not restored. It was made into a cafe/Brat Motorcycle that I had no intent on trying to "beautify" My intent was to go through the bike to make it reliable, safe and fun. The price of $1,200 is not firm but I also will not sell the bike at all for any unreasonable offers. Trades may be considered but I am not interested in any Guns, games or anything else really other than Bikes/Cars/Trucks. I'd rather hold onto it and have fun than to let it go. I just want to see whats out there. Thanks
