Bringing home souvenirs from a vacation can help you remember the trip forever, but one man from England accidentally brought home something he will never forget.According to FoxNews.com, an unnamed man from Worcestershire arrived home after visiting Africa and began unpacking his bag when a scorpion fell out of his luggage.The man captured the four-inch arachnid inside a jar and reached out to the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA). The group identified the scorpion as a Babycurus Jacksoni and collected it from the man.An exotic animal establishment has taken control of the scorpion.MORE Destination & Tourism“He was unpacking and this little chap popped out of his bag,” RSPCA inspector Thea Kerrison told Fox News. “Apparently to be stung by one would be like receiving a small electric shock but not fatal.”The species of scorpion is classified under the United Kingdom’s Dangerous Wild Animals Act of 1976, and citizens in England can’t keep the arachnid without a license. It would also be against the law to release the animal into the wild.RSPCA officials are asking travelers to check their belongings before heading home from vacation to ensure they aren’t accidentally carrying a small creature with them when they return.“It’s so important to thoroughly check and recheck luggage including clothes, shoes, towels, and bags before leaving holiday destinations,” Kerrison continued.
