The next stage in the technological revolution is coming to YOTEL Boston with the incredibly named YO2D2, a robot designed and programmed to provide the best in customer service.YOTEL Boston describes itself as an “affordable luxury hotel brand inspired by first-class air travel.” It’s Boston location, in Seaport, has always utilized the same technological advances the brand is known for including: high-speed, free Wi-Fi, mobile apps, smart beds and more.Now, joining YOTEL’s robotic offerings in New York and Singapore, Boston has its very own automatic assistant, and YO2D2 is not just for show.“At YOTEL, we don’t just do technology for technology’s sake, it needs to be functional, first and foremost,” said General Manager Chris Hartzell. “Since YO2D2 was introduced, our guests have been fascinated and entertained by the robot, but more importantly, it’s expediting the delivery of linens, extra towels and retail items to their cabins and freeing up our crew to assist guests with anything else they might need.”YO2D2 was custom-built for YOTEL Boston by Savioke, a San Jose-based company which is determined to use robots to make human lives easier.
