Thank you for looking My story, should you want to read it, follows immediately below .....My name is Al,I love rusty, crusty pieces and giving new life to old things. If they survive and are appreciated it's a win. Here are the basics:1-Obtain material... Scrounging through flea market's, scrapyards & businesses2- Pile them up in the shop & wait for them to say what they want to be 3- Design, layout & preassemble for preview4- Shape & prepare metal. When it's wood we recover it from old barns etc. and do everything within our power to save the patina while removing rust and loose dirt.5- Assembly: Everything is hand built and welded by me.6- Finishing: after assembly we hand wheel slag, then spray a light clear coat to protect the piece (if you want patina to age simply use steel wool or light sandpaper to remove the finish.I love what I do, I do it only when I feel like it, and it is the joy of my retirement years.
