Guests staying at the Westin New York at Times Square this fall will need some pretty deep pockets in order to sample the hotel's latest culinary offering.NBC New York reports that the four-star hotel's $1,000 bagel is back by popular demand.The luxe bagel debuted at the Westin back in 2007, and guests have been clamoring for it ever since. This year, it will be available from November 1 through December 15.The pricey breakfast meal from New Yorker Bagels will feature Alba white truffle cream cheese, goji berry-infused Riesling jelly and golden leaves for good measure.MORE Hotel & ResortBlame the white truffle cream cheese for the hefty price tag. The hotel's spokeswoman points out that the white truffle is the second-most expensive food in the world behind caviar.Production is very limited, and they're only in season for a brief period of time. The special truffles are grown in Italy's Alba region, and only trained dogs or pigs are able to locate them."Considering how pricing has risen in the past decade (try buying an apartment for the same price as it was in 2007), this bagel at its introductory cost is nearly a deal," the hotel said.The $1,000 charge includes tax and tip. However, the bagel must be purchased 24 hours in advance.
