Users get a 40,000-mile bonus–redeemable for $400 in travel expenses—if they charge $3,000 in the first three months.One of the best perks is that there’s no foreign transaction fee, and the annual fee of $89 is waived for the first year.Airline Rewards CardsThere are several good airline rewards cards—ultimately, it depends on where you want to fly.According to WalletHubs analysis, the Frontier Airlines rewards card tops the list. Its MasterCard wins because of the speed with which users can obtain not one, but two roundtrip flights. Use the card to charge $500 in the first 90 days and you can receive two roundtrip domestic flights.Users also receive 2 miles per $1 spent on FlyFrontier.com, and the annual fee is just $69.If you are traveling internationally, the Lufthansa Miles and More MasterCard is a good choice. Users receive 20,000 bonus miles after an initial purchase or balance transfer and payment of the $89 annual fee. Cardholders do have to pay a one-time $17 membership fee if they don’t hold an account with PenFed.Hotel Rewards CardsIf you are looking for hotel points, the Starwood Preferred Guest American Express provides 25,000 bonus points for charging $3,000 during the first three months of account use, which means approximately $650 in SPG reservations, according to WalletHub.There are no foreign transaction fees, and the annual fee of $95 is waived the first year.Fans of the Radisson, Park Plaza and Country Inn & Suites may want to try out the Carlson Club Premier Rewards Visa Signature card.Cardholders receive 50,000 bonus points after the first purchase and an additional 30,000 for spending $2,500 in the first 90 days—that’s as many as nine nights in one of the company’s hotels. Each account anniversary also nets 40,000 more bonus points.
