Touchscreen works with gloves on and is weatherproof for riding in the rain if you have to. Not sure of the map version, when it comes up it says 2012. There is an SD card slot so I assume it can be updated with new maps if desired. Don't know a lot about it otherwise, it came on a bike I purchased. It's removable from the mount if you want to secure it when you leave the bike.If you see the ad the GPS is still for sale, don't bother asking.
