The gas tank was cleaned, all rust removed and inner coated with Caswell Gas Tank epoxy. The carbs were adjusted and synchronized this month, Aug 2017 by a professional mechanic. The intake and exhaust valves were adjusted in July by the same mechanic. The brake line was drained, cleaned and refilled with new DOT3 brake fluid. The front brake disc was replaced.This motorcycle runs like new.It is 31 years old and does have paint dings here and there as you can see in the photos.The main seat is starting to split, the seats have the original covers.I have LeatherLyke saddle bags, these were the first saddle bags made for the Rebel 450 by the original owner of the LeatherLyke company here in Bulverde, TX. He was friends with the second owners and made these bags for them.This bike has been well taken care of, but it is showing its age. So I have a 2009 Kawasaki Ninja 650r, BUT I put a 2011 Kawasaki ninja 650r engine in it, when the other went out. The first engine lasted 327,000 miles +/-, the second engine only has 25,000 miles, and records of all work done to it. The bike has a recent new front tire, chain, back and front sprockets, and back wheel bearings, brand new OEM radiator with fan. I'm the first and ONLY owner this bike has had. I originally paid $6746.72 cash for it, back in 2009 right off the lot with ZERO miles on it. This summer I was going down the road and the bike started smoking, So I turned off the engine immediately, towed it home, and noticed oil leaking all over the engine. I'm not sure what's wrong with it, could be something simple or need a new engine, either way $2000 is a STEAL, you buy an Engine with 8K miles or less on ebay for about $800/$900 bucks, install it, or have someone install it for about $300 bucks and your investment cost you about $2900 for a bike with 8K miles or less.. you cant even buy that at a dealership (a good used bike with 8K miles or less) at a dealership your looking at $4500 bucks.. so like I said this is a STEAL.
