QR Code Link to This Post For Sale: 2000 Kawasaki W650. Mint condition with only 6281 original miles. A great retro look! This bike was designed by Kawasaki to look like a Triumph Bonneville from the gas tank back, and the front forks are designed to look like a BSA Gold Star. Includes all original documentation; owner's manual, sales brochure, salesman's business card, key fob, fender sticker showing dealership it was sold from, magazine it was featured in, etc. The magazines are AMERICAN MOTORCYCLIST (October 2000), and MOTORCYCLE TOUR & CRUISER (October 2000). I am including a short article from the CHICAGO TRIBUNE (October 24th, 1999). Also included are several extra keys, extra oil filters and extra Kawasaki oil. Here is what has been done to the bike: I added a chrome backrest / grab bar (see photos). The front brake line it came with is considered to be inadequate and it was replaced with an aftermarket brake line. The front springs are linear and were replaced with aftermarket "progressive" springs for a much better ride. The rear shocks were replaced with a stiffer set of "Hagon" shocks, however, the original rear shocks are perfectly fine and included with the purchase of the bike. A seat from a 2001 Kawasaki W650 comes with the bike and cost over $400. The original seat comes with the bike and has never been sat on (see photos). Last fall I had a new front tire and inner tube installed along with new front brake pads. A front fender license plate (the British call it a 'pedestrian slicer'), was ordered from England along with the mounting kit. It is on the front fender of the bike and gives it that British flare. An original front fender was given to me by a friend and it is included with the bike. The extra front fender has some scratches and could use painting or plating. The one on the bike now is perfect. The bike has its original (unused) tool kit. It has a new set of pre-load front fork caps (never installed), in case you would like to adjust your front suspension. It has been maintained perfectly since new. There is NO bluing on the exhaust pipes whatsoever! It was in heated storage all winter and both my house, and the building it was stored in is SMOKE FREE. If you want the great looks of a Triumph Bonneville with the reliability of a Kawasaki, then this is a fine choice for you. Clear title. I need to sell it to pay for my late wife's medical and funeral costs. I have over $6700 in this beautiful motorcycle with all of the extras I have added. Asking $5,500 OBO.Call John at show contact info if you would like to see it. No disappointments here.
