Honda CL175 (Cermak / Harlem) $1725

QR Code Link to This Post 1973 Honda CL175. Third owner. Title in hand and in my name. I have owned the bike for about 6 years. Nicely maintained survivor. Fresh oil change every Spring. Used as weekend rider. Runs and rides out well for a 40 plus year old motorcycle. Needs a bit of choke in the morning, but not for the rest of the day. Comfortable 3 hour rides. Original tool kit and bag, owner's manual, shop manuals, and odds and ends parts go with the bike, with color matching milk crate which was originally mounted to rack in true 1970s fashion. Does not have original tires. Current tires, tubes, and rim strips are in good, safe condition. As seen in photos: dent on tank, small rend in vinyl seat, brake light actuating cable for front brake is shorted and has been disconnected. Replacement cable is available on BikeBandit or other old bike parts depots. Brake light works for back brake. Both front and back brakes work well, just that the front lever does not light the brake light. Electric start, horn, blinkers and even a comical beep with blinkers work well. All lights work well. Neutral light is a bit fiddly but works. Electric and kick start. Cosmetics are good, with expected patina for its age: the chrome is nice, just not showroom perfect.A zippy bike, great for around town, and less crowded winding roads. Will pull 60 mph and more with a 10,500 rpm redline, but more comfortable around 45-50 mph. Gets a lot of compliments. Motorcycle Classics magazine Jan/Feb 2016, did a rider's perspective story on the CB175 with some details on the CL175, for some reference. Not looking for any trades except maybe for middle to higher end guitar equipment of equal value. Send an e-mail through CL with any questions. I'll respond within a day or so if the inquiry seems legitimate. Considering offers, let me know what your budget allows. I would prefer to sell to another "curator" of older motorcycles, as this one is nice enough not to chop up, nor convert to an AHRMA racer. If the bike is still listed, it is still for sale.vintage, scrambler, Honda, old school, survivor, unmolested, unrestored, cafe, bobber, racer, kick start, kickstart, amplifier, amp, victoria, fender, gibson, tube, ampeg, gemini, champ, blues.
