It has never been involved in an accident and it has not been dropped. The minor scratches and wear were from a time when I stored it in my top case and it rubbed up against the case walls. I just washed the entire outside and also the cheek pads. I left the cheek pads out after washing because, embarrassingly I don't remember how they go in. The helmet storage bag is included.Also, the sun shield inside the helmet is removable but it's great if you are not wearing sunglasses.
