Greece has to present a well-designed reform program to its European partners in order to reach a new agreement stated Dr. Karl-Heinz Paque, Vice President of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom. A new rounds of 'reforms' was announced today in regards to local public administration (at a municipal level). As usual however, the reforms where not aimed at tackling all the roots of the problem, but merely to ineffectually make cosmetic changes. As can be seen above, the central state is ridiculously overbloated, while municipal/regional administration is truly a paper tiger, which merely adds an additional level of complexity in an already truly byzantine level of complexity wiithout being able to deal with any of the regional problems.

Το πρόβλημα είναι ως συνήθως πως κανείς δεν προσπαθεί να πιάσει όλους τους πυλώνες του προβλήματος: όπως μπορείτε να δείτε η τοπική αυτοδιοίκηση είναι ένας χάρτινος τίγρης, με πολύ λίγες αρμοδιότητες, πολλές από τις οποίες απλά το μόνο το οποίο κάνουν είναι να προσθέτουν ένα βαθμό πολυπλοκότητας σε ένα ήδη παράλογο σύστημα.
