Όπως μετέδωσε η ΕΡΤ, η υπόθεση είδε το φως της δημοσιότητας στα μέσα Μαρτίου, όταν ένας -αρχικά- γονέας, προχώρησε σε καταγγελία στην Αστυνομία. Ακολούθησαν καταγγελίες άλλων έξι γονέων, και πλέον, η δικογραφία που συντάχθηκε για την υπόθεση παραδόθηκε στον εισαγγελέα. Να σημειωθεί πως οι επτά ανήλικοι αθλητές, κλήθηκαν και κατέθεσαν στην αστυνομία παρουσία παιδοψυχολόγου. Ο φροντιστής έχει απομακρυνθεί από την Ακαδημία, από τον περασμένο Ιανουάριο ήδη, οπότε και είχαν περιέλθει στην αντίληψη της διοίκησης της Ομάδας σχετικές καταγγελίες.
