"A group of SFL activists decided that the taxi drivers’ push for increased regulation shouldn’t go unchallenged, so they organized a counter-protest and approached the taxi drivers with positive signs calling for free market competition and innovation. Students held signs that read,”Taxi monopoly is so yesterday!” and chanted pro-liberty messages while conducting themselves peacefully and responsibly, a sight for sore eyes for the journalists in attendance, who thought they were going to spend four hours in the rain covering yet another uneventful demonstration. Thus, before long, the activists were surrounded by 10 to 15 journalists from national media outlets ready to spread the message of competition and free markets."
