EU-OSHA supports ELA’s campaign to protect seasonal workers

The European Labour Authority (ELA) has launched the ‘Rights for all seasons’ campaign, which runs from June to October 2021, to raise awareness of the need to promote fair and safe working conditions for seasonal workers employed across EU countries, particularly in the agri-food sector.  The COVID-19 pandemic has aggravated seasonal workers’ conditions, and exposed them to increased health risks. EU-OSHA is actively supporting the campaign for better occupational safety and health (OSH) of seasonal workers.  A joint ELA-EU-OSHA online workshop takes place in 24 June to discuss OSH approaches, challenges, and tools to ensure fair and safe working conditions to seasonal workers in the agri-food sector. It will also explore the aspects for providing workers and employers with transparent and effective information within a cross-border context.
