Όπως επισημαίνει το υπουργείο Εξωτερικών σε ανακοίνωσή του και μεταδίδει το Αθηναϊκό Πρακτορείο Ειδήσεων η απόφαση ελήφθη από τον αναπληρωτή διοικητή του Αγίου Όρους. Σημειώνεται πως εξακολουθεί να επιβάλλεται η διενέργεια προληπτικών ελέγχων στα λιμάνια εισόδου του Αγίου Όρους σε οποιονδήποτε επιθυμεί να εισέλθει στον Ιερό Τόπο.
