New platform reducing visits to banks, speeding transactions presented to Greek PM

A new digital platform named "Know Your Customer", which allows citizens to complete transactions and requests online instead of showing in person at their banks, was presented to Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis by Digital Governance Minister Kyriakos Pierrakakis on Thursday, according to ANA. Established in the context of the ministry's broad digital transformation of public services, the new platform enables citizens and businesses to remotely update personal information or complete bureaucratic tasks by submitting official state documents and other required certificates. The platform also simplifies the process of opening a new bank account or managing an existing one, said the prime minister, helping to "eliminate bureaucracy and protecting personal data and information even more efficiently."
