Suspension of Johnson & Johnson vaccines will not affect inoculation rollout in Greece

Greece suspended inoculations with the Johnson & Johnson vaccine due to commence Monday, head of the National Vaccination Committee Maria Theodoridou told a regular live briefing, pending European and United States agency reviews, ANA reports. But the suspension will not affect the rollout of the mass vaccination plan, as the number of Johnson & Johnson vaccines total 33,600, Primary Health Care Secretary-General Marios Themistocleous said at the briefing. Health authorities in the US are looking into 6 cases of thrombosis out of a total of 7 million vaccinations carried out in the country with the Johnson & Johnson vaccιne. The people affected were women aged 18 to 48, she said. Theodoridou also cited numbers according to which 9 in 10 deaths in Greece involved people who had not been vaccinated, while only a small number of fatalities concerned patients who had been vaccinated with both doses of a vaccine.  RELATED TOPICS: Greece, Greek tourism news, Tourism in Greece, Greek islands, Hotels in Greece, Travel to Greece, Greek destinations, Greek travel market, Greek tourism statistics, Greek tourism report Let's block ads!
