It is believed that the "Organisation of Islamic Cooperation" (OIC) may soon once again push for a GLOBAL BLASPHEMY LAW (meaning that it would become a criminal offence worldwide for anyone to publicly deny the existence of religions' supernatural beings!). The "International Federation for Human Rights" (FIDH) has warned the "Organisation of Islamic Cooperation" against any move to push for such a law, but are members of the OIC likely to take heed? Imagine the horror of living in a world where it would be a criminal offence to say that you don't believe in any of world's hundreds of different religions, that you don't believe in any of their gods.

Αν θεωρείτε ότι ΚΑΝΕΝΑΣ από τους 100-200-300-1000 "φίλους" σας δε θα έκανε like στη σελίδα, σκεφτείτε αν είστε το ίδιο σίγουροι πως το ίδιο ισχύει για όλους όσους κάνουν like ή σχολιάζουν. Με λίγα λόγια : όσο περισσότερες φορές το βάζετε, τόσο περισσότερη διαφήμιση του κάνετε και το βρίσκουν κι άλλοι και κάνουν like. Την προηγούμενη φορά ήταν 100τόσα τα like. Αυτή τη στιγμή είναι 260. Sotiris, the reason I posted again was to share specific directions. Yes, people have been reporting the page already, due to earlier postings, but not everyone has been using the method most likely to be successful. When you report there are a number of options and pathways: today I posted the specific pathway that leads to a specific complaint that Facebook ought not to be able to ignore.

Our disagreement is not about it needing to be reported or not, or indeed "how" it should be reported. I urge you to re-read what I said. Surge in atheism amongst young Britons bolsters case for a secular UK. One third of under-24s in the UK describe themselves as atheists, according to a new poll which offers more evidence for a "generational shift" away from religious belief. The YouGov/Times poll found that 42% of adults in the UK said they had no religion, including 19% who described themselves as atheists, 7% who identified themselves as agnostics and 3% as humanists. 49% of respondents described themselves as Christian, whilst 9% were listed as "other". The Times reports that "33% said that they did not believe in 'any sort of god or greater spiritual power', compared with 32% who believed in God and 20 per cent who believed in a spiritual power."
Most significant in the poll's results is the large generational difference in levels of non-belief. Whilst just one-in-ten over the age of 60 said they were atheists, a third of under-24s described themselves that way. 46% of 18 to 24 years olds said they did not believe in "any god". Interestingly, the poll noted that political leaders were "viewed slightly more positively as a result of their admissions that they do not believe in God." NSS president Terry Sanderson said: "This poll is further evidence that organised religion has lost its hold on the imagination of the British people. What it hasn't lost is its residual power over them. Politicians really need to think very carefully about the amount of influence they accord to 'faith leaders' who are speaking for a very few people these days. The public reaction to the recent religious objections to research into mitochondrial disease is an example of the way churches are now regarded as irrelevant. "The continuing spread of 'faith schools' is going to create another problem soon – when these young atheists mature, they may feel that they do not want such an education for their children and yet so prevalent are religious schools there will be an increasing conflict of interests. "I suspect these findings are on the conservative side. It is a well-known phenomenon that people always overstate their religious feelings to pollsters. More and more people not only don't care about religion, they are actually beginning to feel hostile towards it." Καθαρά αριθμητικά/ποσοτικά μπορεί πράγματι να ισχύει. Να μην ξεχνάμε πως και στην Ελλάδα πιο πολύ οι γυναίκες πιστεύουν σε ξεματιάσματα, διαβάσματα κατακαθιού καφέ και τα αγαπημένα μας ζώδια... (τα παραπάνω χωρίς να έχω κάνει κάποιου είδους έρευνα. Μια απλη παρατήρηση είναι...)
Από την άλλη πλευρά όμως είναι εμφανές πως ο αντρικός πληθυσμός είναι σαφώς φανατικότερος και προωθεί για ψύλλου πήδημα τη θρησκευτική βία! |

Για να τελειώνουμε με το αβάσιμο παραμυθάκι αυτό, αρκεί και μόνο το γεγονός ότι η φαινόμενη διέλευση των αστερισμών (τυχαία μοτίβο αστεριών) απο τη θέση του ήλιου έχει αλλάξει τα τελευταία 2000 χρόνια, σε σχέση με αυτό που προτάσουν οι λαμογιο-αστρολόγοι για τον καθορισμό του ζωδίου σε σχέση με την ημερομηνία γέννησης. Ούτε το θεμέλιο της ψευδοεπιστήμης τους δεν ισχύει πόσο μάλλον οι προβλέψεις της...

Το σκεπτικό που χρειάζεται αν πραγματικά ενδιαφέρεσαι να διαπιστώσεις (και όχι απλώς να "πιστεύεις", δηλαδή να φαντάζεσαι ότι μπορεί και να ισχύει κάτι μόνο και μόνο επειδή δεν έχει αποδειχθεί το αντίθετο) είναι να αναζητήσεις στοιχεία που να αποτελούν σοβαρές ενδείξεις ότι ισχύει.
Όχι ανεκδοτολογικά στοιχεία του τύπου "μου πέτυχε το χαρακτήρα απολύτως" ή "στη φίλη μου τη Σούλα της βγήκε το ωροσκόπιο" αλλά στοιχεία από ελεγχόμενες μελέτες σε χιλιάδες ανθρώπους. Τώρα αν δεν ενδιαφέρεσαι πραγματικά να μάθεις τι συμβαίνει αλλά απλώς σου αρέσει να φαντασιώνεσαι ότι "μπορεί και να ισχύει", πάσο. Μόνο μην περιμένεις να σε πάρει κανείς στα σοβαρά. |
