Kluge, Regional Director for Europe, World Health Organization, will debate the progress and challenges of the vaccination campaign against Covid-19 and the potential role that regions and cities should play. 4 February: Debate on the European Citizens' InitiativePedro Silva Pereira, Vice-President of the European Parliament in charge of European democracy and European citizens' initiative, and Christa Schweng, President of the European Economic and Social Committee, will discuss the European Citizens' Initiative, which, since coming into force in 2012, has encouraged citizens’ participation in the political life of the European Union. 5 February: Debate on Portugal's Presidency priorities of the European UnionAna Paula Zacarias, Secretary of State for European Affairs of the Portuguese Republic, will present and debate the priorities of Portugal's Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
