Arrivals of travelers to Cyprus rise by 1.6% during September

The arrivals of travelers in September 2019 reached 679,628, compared to 668,604 in September 2018, recording an increase of 1.6%. According to the Statistical Service of the Republic of Cyprus, the increase is mainly attributed to the arrivals of tourists (0.9%) as well as the return of residents of Cyprus (2.1%), according to CNA. For the period of January – September 2019 arrivals of travelers totaled 4,610,502 compared to 4,473,791 in the corresponding period of 2018, recording a rise of 3.1%. During the same period, an increase of 0.6% was recorded in tourist arrivals and 7.8% in the return of residents of Cyprus.
