Greek Children’s Oncology Hospital and Beijing Children’s Hospital sign twinning deal

A twinning agreement between the 'Marianna V. Vardinoyannis-ELPIDA' Children’s Oncology Hospital and the Beijing Children's Hospital was signed in Athens on Monday, according to ANA.  Ni Xin, Director of Beijing Children's Hospital and Tu Zhitao, General Director of Beijing Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine were both welcomed by Marianna Vardinoyannis.  "I am rather deeply moved by the twinning of our hospital with the Beijing Children's Hospital, one of the largest pediatric hospitals in the world, which plays a leading role internationally in the development of pediatric science, combining medical care, research and education," noted Vardinoyannis. Referring to ELPIDA hospital, she said that "three in four children see a full recovery."  Ni Xin thanked Vardinoyannis and said that even though "China and Greece are separated by a great distance they are united by the common goal of what we do for our children. The ELPIDA Association has done great things and our hospital has a long history of 77 years. This agreement ensures we will have a common base for the exchange of knowledge and data.
