Honda Silverwing GL500 Interstate, 2nd owner, always garaged (Hillsborough) $2000

QR Code Link to This Post Rides great. I still ride it, mileage may increase slightly. This motorcycle is very close to perfect motorcycle, in my opinion. Why? Rider is sitting in a classic upright seating posture, healthier than on a reclined cruiser. This also allows a commanding view of the road and quicker maneuverability, which may make all the difference on the road. It is not too big motorcycle, but big enough to be substantial. It has a windshield for wind and rain protection and a trunk. It has plenty of reflective surfaces for visibility. Its V-twin engine does not shake as a bobbleHeaD when idle, as can be seen on some other bikes (wink). It has a water-cooled, two cylinder, two carburetors, 4 valves per cylinder, 2 overhead cams, electronically ignited, longitudinally mounted engine and a reliable shaft drive, not a chain. Progressive rear suspension and pneumatically adjustable front fork. Front hydraulic dual disk brake and rear mechanical drum brake. These qualities makes it a "poor man's Moto-Guzzi", I would say, without the Moto-Guzzi's expense. It has a windshield, second seat, large lockable trunk, and 2 lockable removable hard saddle bags with matching keys.Tires in good condition - see pictures.A small bonus is installed trailer hitch and a CB radio with speaker and antenna wiring. No antenna, just the antenna holder and connector. CB radio is not really useful these days but yes, you can key in the mike during stops and pretend to be important as in good old times.Included: - Original User Manual - Original toolkit - Motorcycle cover. - 2 keys that start motorcycle, open gas tank cap, open a small lockable compartment, unhook the saddlebags, unlock helmet holder, saddlebags and lockable trunk. - 2 full-face helmets of XL size - certainly enough to ride off right away into the sunrise. This motorcycle is like a car - ready to take you every morning wherever you need to go, with minimum possible fuss and lowest maintenance. Shaft drive and reliable Honda engine makes it possible. I prefer to ride it without factory saddlebags, but they are both included. Honda ad of the day said - "you can travel light but just as far". It certainly holds true for this motorcycle.Title is clean and clear, in my name. I am the proud second owner of this great motorcycle. The time has come to pass it on to another lowly bike enthusiast. Please take a look at the pictures and see if this is a classic bike in good condition for you this spring.Let's block ads! (Why?)
