(Still looking for the soft-cover owners manuals. They're around here somewhere! Worst-case scenario is I have them in electronic format.)Both bikes run well, shift smoothly, and were well cared for. Both bikes have been properly maintained (lubrication, fluids changed, cables checked and adjusted, etc) for as long as I've owned them, which is years. The Vulcan 800 is really nice and near perfect but for 1 or 2 very tiny cosmetic issues. The vn800 (5-speed, chain drive) has very low mileage, runs like new, has a windshield, highway bars, saddle bags, and a tool bag. The worst thing I can say about the 800 is that it has a couple of very tiny dings. VIN: jkbvnca15sa007058The Vulcan 500 hasn't been started in a while but should push-start and run w/o a problem. (I'm assuming the battery must be dead by now, I haven't ridden it in several years.) The en 500 (6-speed, belt drive) runs but I took it off the road when the engine developed a noise that we think may be a stretched timing chain. I do not know, I'm not a mechanic. When I heard that noise, not being a mechanic, was when I bought the 800 and considered the 500 as a parts bike. However all I've ever taken from it was a rear foot peg. The only cosmetic issue is a small dent on the gas tank which I sanded and covered w/ black Krylon (see photo) to prevent rust. VIN: jkaenva1xra066312Both bikes come with good rubber front & back. The brakes, cables, clutch, etc are all in great shape and both come with either hard cover service manual or DOC or PDF files of the owner's and repair manuals.Naturally, both have clean titles.* 1500 lbs.
