Loganair moves to replace flybmi on key routes

Scotland-based Loganair has stepped in to secure five key air routes following the collapse of rival flybmi. The carrier will launch three routes from Aberdeen - to Bristol, Oslo and Esbjerg in Denmark - on March 4th. These will be followed by departures from Newcastle to Stavanger in Norway and Belgian tourism capital Bruges on March 25th. All of the routes are in sale from today.ADVERTISEMENTJonathan Hinkles, Loganair managing director, said: “It’s always really sad to see an airline go out of business, and our thoughts are with all those affected – particularly staff members.  “We are evaluating flybmi’s wider network and assessing routes which align with Loganair’s distinct geographical area and overall strategic plans. “We are also working on employment opportunities for pilots, cabin crew and engineering support staff to strengthen the Loganair team.” Older Ital Café debuts at Half Moon in Jamaica Newer Mandarin Oriental Jumeira, Dubai, opens to guests
