3rd Athens Coffee Festival to open its gates on September 29

Having established itself as one of the most significant commercial and social events for quality coffee, the 3rd Athens Coffee Festival will be kicking off from 29 September to 1 October at Technopolis in Gazi to welcome all professionals and the lovers of good coffee. The latest top trends and new brands that are expected to dominate the domestic and international coffee scene will be showcased, while a rich program of seminars and workshops, coffee competitions and interesting cultural events will be part of the festival. The biggest and most important coffee making companies, along with all things coffee-related like micro-roasters, coffee machines etc will welcome the visitors of the festival, who will have the opportunity to taste from a variety of coffees from all over the world and to meet with top personalities from the Greek and international coffee scene. The festival will also offer nearly 80 hours of sideshow training seminars, sessions, and workshops, as well as tasting trials in three specially designed areas: * The Chatroom, with presentations, demonstrations and discussions on the culture, history and general characteristics of coffee, aimed at the general consumer and coffee enthusiasts, will be held in the Innovathens Hall.* The Lab, with specialised roasting seminars and workshops for all espresso making methods, (hand brew, ibrik) that will cater to coffee professionals and will be held in Room D10.* The Cupping Room, with delicious tastings of rare coffee varieties from all coffee-producing countries to be held in D7. The principal stage of the festival, which will dominate the open-air area of Technopolis, will welcome popular radio producers and DJs, as well as live musical groups, exclusively for the festival guests visitors for the whole day. There will also be daily coffee-related quizzes with the winners getting great gifts by the festival exhibitors.
