Safe Spaces for Youth is the theme of the International Youth Day 2018. Observed annually on August 12, it is designed to steer awareness around the world of the challenges faced by the young generations.Every year, some 120 million young people reach working age. Nurturing a culture of healthy workplaces and investing in young workers’ safety and health competences are essential prerequisites for their sustainable working lives. EU-OSHA is committed to support these processes by providing occupational safety and health (OSH) knowledge tailored for young people and their teachers, and campaigning for healthy workplaces in all sectors and businesses.
