The German Social Accident Insurance (DGUV) is conducting an international study on workplace accessibility. Commissioned by the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs to implement the UN Disability Rights Convention, the objective of the study (2018-2019) is to find best practices and international experiences for an extensively accessible working environment that can subsequently be offered for implementation to German enterprises and their associations.Of special interest are examples that show structural changes that are transferable to other enterprises, both in size and sector. In addition to structural and communication barriers, the study also covers the difficulties that concern people with mental illnesses.
