1997 Pontiac Montana Transport Camping/other $750

QR Code Link to This Post I mostly used this van on weekends (and an occasional trips to SC) for camping and occasional bands jobs...I have recently replaced it with a truck that meets my current needs, to pull my (new to me) travel trailer that weighs 3500 lbs. The van never let me down mechanically and I did keep up with the maintenance. I can show you the original selling agreement from the dealership in 1999:) The good....it has a very good running engine (3.4 Liter V6), starts up and goes every time. The tires are good (and 5th full size Spare) and there are no cracks or chips in the windshield (replaced 6 months ago) or other glass. I took out two seats to make room for hauling but still have them. it has an Interstate battery, less than a year old and stereo radio works great. The brakes are in fine shape (ABS traction control). It has electric windows and side door that are working fine. It has a luggage rack, new wipers good tread on tires. It also has a nice (class three) tow hitch, with two inch ball, for hauling a utility trailer. I have used it to pull a motorcycle and camping gear. This van has a very good towing capacity. The not as good...the heat works but not the air conditioner. I was told by Brandywine used auto parts that it can be replaced, fairly economically, by them. That was two years ago but I didn't drive it that much and camped mostly in the fall and spring. Also, the odometer stopped at 172,000 and that was 3000 miles, or so, ago. I only drove it on some weekends. Plus, The front hood latch works but would work with more ease if it was updated. It has some road chips on hood.I feel this van will pass Md. inspection as all required safety equipment works fine.Check it out if you like....it could also be used for other than camping.
