Cyprus tourism revenue jumps 37.5% in April 2017

Cyprus tourism revenue in April 2017 jumped 37.5% compared to the same month last year, the Cyprus Statistical Service has announced, travelwirenews.com reports.According to the data of the Passenger Survey, revenue in April 2017 reached €189.6 million compared to €137.9 million in April 2016.For the period January-April 2017, tourism revenue is calculated at €357.7 million compared to €285.5 million in the same period of 2016, recording an increase of 25.3%.Per capita spending for April 2017 rose to €662.06 compared to €611.37 in April 2017, showing an increase of 8.3%The per capita/per day spending for tourists in April 2017 compared to April 2016 recorded a 4.6% increase.In April 2017 there was a 3.3% rise in per capita spending from United Kingdom tourists (from €702.59 in April 2016, to €725.67 in April 2017).
