Work-related cancer prevention as the focus of EU-OSHA’s Director visit to Romania

On 26-28 June, EU-OSHA’s Director Dr Christa Sedlatschek visits Romania to contribute to the seminar “Ageing workforce: prevention and management of occupational diseases like work-related cancers”. The event showcases an occupational medicine approach to the ageing workforce focusing on the challenges for prevention and management of occupational diseases in Romania, particularly work-related cancers. Dr Sedlatschek gives an update on EU-OSHA’s actions in this area and presents the future priorities of EU-OSHA with a particular focus on EU-OSHA’s role in shaping the European Pillar of Social Rights.During her visit, Dr Sedlatschek also meets high-level representatives from the Government responsible for occupational safety and health and the Romanian Focal Point at the National Institute of Research & Development on Occupational Safety.
