2006 suzuki sv650 (santa clara) $3100

QR Code Link to This Post The time has come to get rid of my SV, this has been a great bike. I am selling this bike because I have recently upgraded to a new bike. I am technically the 2nd owner but actually the 3rd, the real 2nd owner only had the bike for a few months and never transferred the title to his name. The person I bought the bike was getting rid of the bike because he thought he wanted to get into riding but it just wasn't for him.THE BAD To start off with the bad the plastic piece do have scratches on them. The first owner crashed a couple of times, when I contacted the original owner he told me that it was never anything serious. One time he low sided on his left hand side, nothing broke except for bent handlebars and scratches, the bike was still ridable. The second time the bike crashed he said that he let someone try to learn how to ride a motorcycle. From a stop the person gave pretty heavy throttle and dumped the clutch resulting in the bike hitting the ground on the right hand side. The crashes also dented the tank in a few places. THE GOOD This bike is an excellent bike for beginners, it was my first street bike coming from only off roading and to this day don't regret getting this bike. There is power everywhere, you can be in third gear and it will still be able to pull you away at only 3000 rpms. I have braided steel brake lines, I rebuilt all the calipers and master cylinders (front and rear), aftermarket rear sets(vortex), pro taper handlebars, and new brake pads, brake fluid, grips, coolant, and chain(DID) and sprockets(JT Steel), as of about 1500 miles ago. I checked my valves at 27000 miles and only two exhaust valves were out of spec. Won't need another valve inspection until about 40000 miles. Just did an oil change at 28500 miles with motul 300v 10w40.I work at a motorcycle shop which gave me access to work on my bike often, I lube and inspect my chain every 300 miles. I take very good care of this bike even though there is scratches all over the place. Definitely recommend this bike to a beginner. The engine is the best thing about this bike and I know personally that it is in excellent condition I ride this bike daily because it is my only transportation and it has never had any problems what so ever. I think I mentioned everything but please email or text me if you have any questions. This is one of my favorites bikes. When I have a garage I'm planning on buying another 3rd generation SV650.
